Bucureşti (07:00) – Predeal (08:58) cu trenul IR 1631.

În tren, nimic deosebit, doar că am călcat-o sănătos cu bocancul solid de iarna pe duduia care stătea în faţa mea. Din greşală, am crezut că piciorul ei este baza de la piciorul mesei dintre scaune. Mi-am cerut scuze, însă nu cred că a încălzit-o prea mult.

 

O cafea de 3 lei de la automatul din staţia Petrom din Predeal, după că are continuat alergarea spre ieşirea din Predeal (spre Azuga), până la intersecţia cu DN 73A.

Sunt aproximativ 2,5 km de mers, iar pe ultimii 300 de metri trotuarul se termină, însă există un fel de mini-bandă de siguranţă pe care se poate merge.

De la intersecţia dintre DN 1 şi DN 73A se mai merge (pe DN 73A) vreo 300 de metri (spre Pârâul Rece), după care se virează la stângă, pe un drum forestier. Practic de aici începe traseul până în şaua Baiului, pe marcaj triunghi roşu.

Sau mai simplu, traseul nr. 16 din harta munţilor Bucegi din aplicaţia pentru telefon mobil Munţii Nostri.

 

Chiar la intrarea pe drumul forestier se află o unitate militară destul de mare de vânători de munte.

Mai mult, am şi interacţionat cu un vânător de munte din corpul de pază al unităţii, care ne-a rugat ferm şi politicos să o luăm din loc după ce am stat vreo 15 minute pentru pus parazăpezi şi fumat o ţigară.

La intersecţia cu nişte cladiri în ruină ieşim de pe drumul forestier, virăm stânga pe o potecă şi incepem urcarea pe valea Iadului. Nimic de speriat, pante nu este foarte abruptă.

De la intrarea în traseu (lângă intersecţia DN 1 cu DN 73A) şi până la Dihamul Militar am făcut puţin sub 2 ore, adică exact timpul indicat pentru vară.

Bucata asta de traseu mi s-a părut foarte lejeră. În plus, mi se pare traseul ideal pentru a ieşi în Predeal de la cabana Diham, având în vedere că prin acest traseu se merge doar foarte puţin pe DN 73A.

Ştiu că mai există un traseul care leagă cabana Diham de Predeal, însă acela iese in DN 73A relativ aproape de Pârău Rece, adică la vreo 5 km de Predeal.

Iar DN 73A nu este un drum tocmai ideal de parcurs ca pieton.

 

Pauză de-o ciorbă şi o cafea (ambele la plic) la arzătorul sovietic.

Din saua Baiului am continuat alergarea direct spre cabana Poiana Izvoarelor, pe traseul marcat cu cruce albastra.
