Era deja aproape ora 17:00 şi am plecat de la Pointe du Hoc în mare viteză deoarece trebuia să ajungem la cimitirul militar american de la Colleville sur Mer (vreo 12 km de mers), cimitir care se închidea la ora 18:00.

Este puţin ciudat orarul de vizitare al cimitirului american, deoarece toate muzeele din Normandia se închideau la ora 19:00 iar cimitirele militare germane se pot vizita oricând.

 

Ne apropiem de cimitir.

În poarta cimitirului erau două franţuzoaice de la firma de pază care mi-au spus că le pare rău, însă nu ne mai pot lasă să intrăm.

Am început cu nişte vrăjeală din Balcani, că am venit tocmai din România că sa vedem acest cimitir, că suntem într-un circuit şi a doua zi nu ne mai putem întoarce îi altele similare.

Spre suprinderea mea, vrăjeala a ţinut, cele două franţuzoaice s-au înduplecat şi ne-au lăsat să întrăm.

 

Odată intraţi, am văzut că mai era încă destui vizitatori, însă alţi angajaţi de la pază, dintr-o maşina de golf, îţi atrăgeau discret atenţia că ar fi cazul să te îndrepţi spre ieşire.

 

Prin cimitir, cât am apucat să vedem în câteva minute.

Dacă are vreo relevanţa în acest cimitir militar sunt filmate scenele de început şi de final din filmul “Saving private Ryan”.

 

După vizitarea cimitirul a urmat o pauză de masă pe iarbă, pe marginea drumului apoi întoarcerea la drumul departamental D 514

Muzeul Overlord (numele codat al operaţiunilor aliate din Normandia din vara anului 1944) n-am mai apucat să-l vedem.

Pozele de mai sus sunt făcute în jurul ore 22:30 iar până în campingul din Carentan mai aveam vreo 20 km de mers.

Clipocitorii (semnalizarea faţă – spate) îi aveam la noi, lampa frontală la fel, doar vestele refectorizatente le-am lăsat în camping dimineaţă când am plecat.

Cei 20 km pe întuneric, la lumina unei singure frontale nu au fost o problemă. Chiar ne-am intersectat de vreo 4 ori o dubă a Jandarmeirie franceze însă nu ne-au zis nimic.

 

Am mai făcut aproximativ două ore până în camping. Astfel, pe la ora 00:30 s-a terminat şi pentru noi “Ziua cea mai lungă” a turei din Normandia.

Planul initial al turei era sa ajungem pe biciclete pana la Caen, asa ca in aprilie am luat bilete online la trenul Caen - Paris, pret 15 Euro / om, pentru o distanta de aproximativ 200 km
Cum planul este una iar realitatea cu totul alta, a trebuit sa luam trenul de la Carentan la Caen, adica 14 Euro / om  pentru o distanta de aproximativ 70 km.
Astfel, se observa care este diferenta intre biletul cumparat cu doua luni inainte si cel cumparat in ziua plecarii.

Aici, locul pentru biciclete din capatul vagonului era ocupat de bagajele unui francez. N-am vrut sa-l deranjez pe om si m-am gandit sa pun bicicletele in vagonul alaturat, insa surpriza, asta nu avea carlige pentru bicicleta.

Multumim de relatare. Superb. Locuri pe care imi doresc  sa le bifez si eu cumva, de ceva vreme. Nu cred ca mi-am pus vreodata problema sa le vad pe bicicleta. Nu pana acum. :D

Aseara mi-am gasit trei ore libere sa savurez si filmul The Longest Day. 

 

M-ar interesa parerea pe care ti-ai facut-o legat de camping-urile prin care ai stat , dupa o prima tura la cort. Ce fel de oameni ai intalnit, cat de usor (sau greu) a fost sa lasi totul in cort si sa pleci din camping, daca ati legat sau nu bicicletele peste noapte, ......

Daca tot ati avut tematica D-Day puteati sa va duceti in Caen sa vedeti Memorialul. Daca mai aveati timp puteati sa mergeti cu bicicletele pe coasta de la Omaha spre Caen (o zi era suficent) unde gaseati alte plaje ale debarcarii Juno, Sword, Gold (unde au debarcat candienii si britii)

Am zis ca planul initial era sa ajungem la Caen.

Am mai zis ca ne-am luat si bilete online la trenul Caen - Paris (daca vrei, pot sa postez biletul).

 

De asemenea, am mai zis ca planul initial a fost una si realitatea a fost alta.

In cazul in care pana acum nu ti-ai dat seama, din pacate pentru noi, tura a avut o perioada fixa, n-am putut sa stam in Normandia pe termen nedefinit.

 

N-am spus niciodata ca cele doua plaje pe care le-am vazut sunt singurele pe care Aliatii au debarcat in iunie 1944 sau ca am vazut tot ceea ce se putea vedea legat de Debarcare.

 

Insa nu-i nicio problema, Caen-ul, restul locurilor indicate de tine si multe altele tot acolo raman, nu pleaca nicaieri. Asadar, un motiv in plus pentru a reveni in Normandia.

Acum am avut satisfactia ca ceea ce am reusit sa vedem a fost relaxat si pe indelete, fara niciun fel de graba.

Intre timp mi-am mai adus aminte de o intrebare - vad ca nu ai mai mentionat nimic de impachetare/zborul spre casa. In rucsacii ramasi la amic au ramas si chestiile recuperate de la zborul dus? Sau cum ati procedat cu protectia bicicletelor in huse, la intoarcere?

 

Legat de tot topicul - nu prea am citit tot regulamentul forumului dar banuiesc ca nu e interzis copy-paste la tura. :D:D:D

Chiar ma gandeam oare ce tura vom face anul viitor si incepe sa sune a o idee excelenta. Nici nu m-am intors bine din tura si deja studiez google maps si zboruri spre Franta/Belgia :D 

Am si aruncat, la "intamplare", doua puncte pe harta si parca arata a ceva traseu.  Daca nu ma "loveste" o alta idee minunata intre timp

Despre avantajele mersului cu cortul.

În primul rând, libertatea de mişcare, mai ales în extra-sezon, având în vedere faptul că anul şcolar în Franţa se termină în jurul datei de 1 iulie.

Campinguri sunt destule (mă refer la Normandia, departamentele Manche şi Calvados) astfel încât am scăpat de grija rezervării cazarilor.

În turele trecute, ţin minte că era oarecum stresant când schiţam traseul în funţie de posibilităţile de cazare pe care le aveam la dispoziţie plus că trebuia să ţin seama de o grămadă de criterii, cum ar fi prea aproape / departe, prea scump / ietfin, arată bine / rău, etc.

Astfel am avut libertate totală de mişcare, fără să fim constrânşi de nimic.

Iar pentru identificarea campingurilor, Google Maps de pe telefon a fost suficient. Ştiu că există chiar şi unele aplicaţii care îti indică campingurile din zonă, însă nu am folosit până acum.

 

În al doilea rând, preţul.

5 nopţi de cazare pentru 2 persoane ne-a costat 65,30 Euro. Adică 6,53 Euro / om / noapte.

Transformat în lei, înseamnă aprox. 30 de Lei / om / noapte.

N-am căutat prea mult, însă dacă ne-am fi cazat la hotel / pensiune nu cred că scăpam sub 60 de Euro pe noapte pentru o camera dublă, adică 300 de Euro pentru 5 nopţi.

Mergând cu cortul am făcut o economie de aproximativ 230 de Euro (cifră rotundă).

Altfel spus, cortul care a costat 200 de Euro s-a amortizat deja.

 

La reducerea costurilor se mai adaugă şi faptul că mănânci mâncarea ta în loc să mânânci mâncarea de la cârciumă.

Pe lângă faptul ca de multe ori în Franţa rurală nu găseşti nicio cârciumă, ai o mică satisfacţie că sfidezi societatea de consum şi îşi rezolvi cina cu 2-3 Euro.

 

Referitor la oamenii pe care i-am întânit prin campinguri aceştia erau toţi ok, chiar nu am avut niciun moment senzaţia că vreunul dintre ei ne-ar putea crea probleme.

Cum am spus şi la începtul, fiind extra-sezon, nici campingurile nu erau prea pline.

 

Cu privire la siguranţa, nu a fost nicio problemă să lăsam cortul şi tot echipamentul şi să plecăm o zi întreaga la plimbare. L-am întrebat pe francezul de la recepţie dacă a avut cazuri de furt în camping iar omu’ mi-a spus că nu.

 

Peste noapte bicicletele au stat legate una de alta şi sprijinite de gardul viu (o singură noapte le-am legat de un suport fix). Nici aici nu a fost nicio problemă.

 

Concluzia: mi-a plăcut la nebunie mersul cu cortul şi abia aştept să repet experienţa.

Dacă există întrebări, cu cea mai mare plăcere.

 

 

Pentru zborul de intoarcere am pastrat toti buretii cu care am izolat biciclele la dus. Buretii au intrat foarte bine in rucsaci, alaturi de huse.

Interesanta ideea de tura, bafta.
